Pallas version 3.2.4 is ready

A new version of Pallas is ready!

Most important changes compared to the previous version:

  • A database can be opened in read-only mode. The database therefore remains frozen and no changes can be made. Switching between read-only and read+write can be done very quickly and easily with a new menu choice.
  • Initialization of the database is now performed more subtly, eliminating the need for many small changes to the DB. This makes the file more stable, which is nice if the file is kept in version control.
  • Version management interface provides better notification of actions being performed.
  • various minor bug fixes and speed improvements.

Pallas can be downloaded from this location.

Pallas inventory management is launched

The Pallas inventory program can be downloaded from today!

Pallas makes managing large amounts of elements easy. I wrote to Pallas to manage an inventory of electronics components and have been using it internally for several years.

For me, the lack of a good, locally running and reliable database for my component administration was a reason to write the application myself - an investment that will pay for itself in the long term, but with which I am very satisfied. I couldn't find suitable software that met my requirements. The majority of inventory management software was either not reliable or too large and complex for my purposes.
